Terms of Service

These Terms of Service, which we call the Terms, are a legal agreement between you and Based Ltd, a UK limited company referred to here as Bramble, we, us, or our. They govern your use of the Bramble mobile app and onbramble.com, which together we call the Service. The Service is offered to customers in the United States. Please read them carefully. They include a not financial advice disclaimer, subscription and billing terms, disclaimers of warranties, a limitation of liability, and a dispute resolution section. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of these Terms

By creating an account, downloading, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms take effect on July 24, 2026.

2. Eligibility

To use Bramble, you must be at least 18 years old, be a resident of the United States, and be able to form a binding contract. The Service is offered in the United States only. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet these requirements and that the information you give us is accurate.

3. The Service, a read only tracker and education tool

Bramble helps you see your finances in one place. That means net worth tracking, savings goals we call pots, spending and money leak insights, debt payoff tracking, and financial education we call Money School. Bramble brings together information from accounts you choose to connect, on a read only basis.

Bramble is not a bank, broker dealer, investment adviser, money transmitter, or lender. It does not move money, hold funds, execute transactions, or sell financial products. It is a personal finance tracking and education tool.

4. NOT FINANCIAL ADVICE

The Service is for informational and educational purposes only and is not financial, investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice. Bramble does not give personal recommendations and does not act as your financial advisor, fiduciary, or broker. Nothing in the Service is an offer or solicitation to buy or sell any security or financial product. You alone are responsible for your financial decisions, and you should talk to a qualified professional before acting. Categorizations, insights, and projections are estimates and may be wrong or incomplete.

Using the Service does not create any fiduciary or advisory relationship between you and Bramble.

5. Accounts and security

You are responsible for keeping your account confidential and for everything that happens under it. Protect access with the device and app security available to you, including your device passcode and any PIN or biometric lock, such as Face ID or Touch ID, that Bramble offers. Let us know promptly at support@onbramble.com if you suspect unauthorized use. You must give us accurate account information and keep it up to date.

6. Bank connections via Plaid

If you choose to link a financial account, you authorize Bramble and our provider Plaid to access information such as account balances and transactions from that account, on a read only basis, so we can provide the Service. You confirm that you are authorized to link the account.

  • Bramble requests only balances and transactions.
  • Bramble does not receive your banking login credentials and cannot move money.
  • You can disconnect an account at any time in the app.

Aggregated data comes from your financial institutions and third parties. We do not guarantee that it is accurate, complete, timely, or available, and you should not rely on it as an official record. Always check with your financial institution for authoritative balances.

7. Subscriptions, free trial, and billing

Plans

Bramble offers a paid subscription at $9.99 a month or $69.99 a year. Prices are in USD and taxes may apply.

Free trial

New subscriptions may start with a 3 day free trial, which you turn on during onboarding. You will not be charged during the trial. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it automatically becomes a paid subscription and your payment method is charged.

Automatic renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period, monthly or annual, at the price current at that time, unless you cancel first. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.

Billing through the Apple App Store

Payment is processed by Apple through your App Store account and is subject to Apple's terms. You manage and cancel your subscription through Apple.

How to cancel

To cancel, open Settings on your iPhone, tap your Apple ID, then Subscriptions, pick Bramble, and cancel. Do it at least 24 hours before the end of your trial or current period to avoid the next charge. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and you keep access until then.

Refunds

Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are not refundable, and refunds are handled by Apple under its App Store refund policy. We do not control App Store refunds and cannot issue them directly.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to do any of the following.

  • Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose.
  • Access accounts or data you are not authorized to access.
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract source code, except as the law permits.
  • Interfere with, disrupt, or place undue load on the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Get around security or authentication, or misuse other people's data.
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without our permission.

9. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, the Bramble name and logo, and the Bram character, is owned by Based Ltd or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable license, which you cannot transfer or share, to use the Service for your own personal, noncommercial use under these Terms. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

10. User content

You may enter information such as goal names, notes, and categories, which we call User Content. You keep ownership of your User Content. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display it only to operate and improve the Service. You are responsible for your User Content and confirm that you have the rights to provide it.

11. Third party services

The Service relies on third parties, including Apple, Plaid, Supabase, RevenueCat, and Resend, and may link to third party sites or content. We are not responsible for third party services, and your use of them is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. See our Privacy Policy for the providers we use.

12. Disclaimers of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED AS IS AND AS AVAILABLE WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, FREE OF ERRORS, OR SECURE, OR THAT AGGREGATED DATA WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR CURRENT. YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE IS AT YOUR OWN RISK, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW PERMITS.

13. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW PERMITS, BASED LTD AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR FINANCIAL LOSSES, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR 50 US DOLLARS, WHICHEVER IS GREATER. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THESE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Based Ltd and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

15. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Settings in the app. We may suspend or end your access if you violate these Terms, if the law requires it, or to protect the Service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution.

16. Governing law and dispute resolution

Although Based Ltd is a UK limited company, these Terms are written for our customers in the United States. They are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of laws rules, and by applicable US federal law.

Informal resolution first

Before starting a formal proceeding, you agree to try to resolve any dispute with us informally by contacting support@onbramble.com and describing the issue. We will try in good faith to resolve it. If the dispute is not resolved within 60 days of that notice, either party may proceed as set out below.

Binding individual arbitration

Except for the small claims matters described below, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service that is not resolved informally will be settled by binding arbitration on an individual basis rather than in court. The arbitration will be seated in the State of Delaware, conducted under established consumer arbitration rules, and governed by Delaware law. Judgment on the award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.

Class action waiver. You and Based Ltd agree that each may bring claims against the other only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims or otherwise preside over any form of a class or representative proceeding.

Small claims exception and venue

Nothing in this section prevents either party from bringing an individual claim in small claims court where the claim qualifies and such a court is available. Any dispute not subject to arbitration will be brought only in the state or federal courts located in the State of Delaware, and you and Based Ltd consent to personal jurisdiction and venue in those courts.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the last updated date above and, where it makes sense, notify you in the app or by email. If you keep using the Service after an update, that means you accept the revised Terms.
